Choice of material:

Quartz glass has special properties such as high temperature resistance, high chemical purity and resistance, optical properties such as UV-permeability, high thermal shock resistance.
The process of producing quartz glass is more difficult and expensive than for other types of glass, so the price of quartz glass will always be higher. On the other hand, the properties of the material are such that it is possibly the right choice for your application. Contact us if you have questions about this.

Possible operations:

Hot working by means of heating and deforming in a propane oxygen flame or hydrogen oxygen flame

These operations include: making round bottoms, flat bottoms, constricting or forming a shape by blowing in a mould, bending, welding, calibrating tube ends (fitting of O-rings)

Cold working through grinding with diamond tools, silicon carbide tools

These operations include: sawing, drilling, grinding, sandblasting, centerless grinding, cutting
Quartz glass is a technical glass that we process in our glassworks into an end product. We always start with available tubes, plates, rods. Or, if necessary, quartz tubes, rods or plates are produced. You are always welcome to discuss your project on site and discuss the possibilities. Please always make an appointment.
